argentina

Before their was Argentineans, their lived two groups called Diaguita and Guarani. They both constituted the origins of permanent agricultural civilization in Argentina. What they developed was the cultivation of maize. Also, they were powerful enough to stops the Inca from expanding their empire into what is now Bolivia, which was before Argentina.

The first Spaniard that landed in Argentina was Juan de Solis, which he was killed in 1516 because the natives of Argentina wanted no one else to discover Bueno Aires, which is now the capital of Argentina. To me it's sort of stupid, but yet smart because they probably knew that Spain or some other U.K. country was going to take over Argentina. But they should have just bribed them or scare them.

Eventually, their military success, diseases from Europe weakened them. Even though Spain neglected Argentina, Spain wanted Lima and the riches of Peru. The capital, Bueno Aires, was forbidden to trade with other foreign countries, they began to smuggle stuff.

In 1806 and 1807, the British attacked Buenos Aries, since Spain became under control of Napoleonic France. But later on, France kidnapped Spain's king, King Ferdinand VII. So Spain didn't rule over Argentina anymore.

But the natives didn't want the French to take over and was glad that they captured the king, for some reason. By 1816, a party of separatists wanted to declare Independence.
